Homosexual Marriage
June 17th, 2008
Last month (May 16) the California Supreme Court reversed the Gay marriage ban. The court declared that “any law that discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation will from this point on be constitutionally suspect in California in the same way as laws that discriminate by race or gender, making the state’s high court the first in the nation to adopt such a stringent standard.”
What do you think?

I guess the question is, “Is it human to love and can you help who you fall in love with?” I just have a hard time telling my gay friends with children, “You need to break up this family and put these children in the care of hetrosexuals.” A person can leaglly change their gender and then marry someone of the opposite sex and that is fine. I really don’t see the diffrence. No one is forcing this pastor to perform gay marriages or civil unions. I believe in loving the GLBT community has humans and letting God do the judging. Ultimately he is the only one who can transform us into what we were created to be.
I believe the Gay community suffers from economic discrimination base on the current law and that marriage/civil unions can in some sense rectify the situation. Not that I would officiate a gay marriage, don’t misunderstand me. I just have a problem discriminating based on gender or sexuality.
