The Culture Pub™ is a process for engaging a local community in activity that makes the world “more human”. The process stands on a three legged platform: “community+compassion+creativity = a world becoming human”. The Culture Pub and the Culture Pub Network are the “real world” expressions of Voxtropolis®, the City of Voices.

Vox promoters are social entrepreneurs who engage with local cultural creatives and local business to discover the latent potential for humanity within a community and provide the spark of movement to the mix. Each Culture Pub expression exists to harness the genius of local creatives with the engine of local business to benefit the poor, exploited and enslaved of the community and of the world. Not only does Voxtropolis and the Culture Pub process make a concrete difference in the lives of the needy, the tangible results are often artists, business people, and communities that feel themselves reconnecting with a sense of purpose and meaning in their lives.

The Culture Pub is also designed to become a creative hub for developing artists, a place for conversation about the future of humanity, and an opportunity for community building. Culture Pubs are centers for creative expressions that can make a world of difference. And while, they are not churches, they are grounded on the principle of “Love one another” that was introduced to the world by Jesus. Ghandi (Hindu), Teresa (Catholic), Mandela (Unknown), King (Baptist) are all historical exemplars of this principle.

The Culture Pub venue may be the living room of a small apartment in Germany where friends gather to taste wine and listen to live music or a rented facility in Northern California transformed into a gathering place and performing arts venue. The Culture Pub was envisioned by Alex and Niza McManus as a way of developing a community of “social entrepreneurs for change” among local independent artists, bohemians, thinkers and activists. Their vision, because deeply rooted in devotion to Christ, was birthed by a desire to give all people regardless of religion, an opportunity to make the world human. The Network began to grow as others began to see a new way of working together to make the world a better place.
